A doctor has told a girl's worried mother that the young woman must lose her virginity through a medical procedure designed to correct her inability to menses.

Doctor Chioma said Friday on Twitter how worried her mother was when she told her that her 17-year-old daughter needed a procedure where her hymen was broken.

The doctor, with Twitter handle @ Deekachy _ md, started the thread on Twitter:

"So, Dr., do you want to alienate my 17-year-old daughter?"

As she puts it
"Not really Ma, to treat, we have to break her hymen.She has IMPERFORATE HYMEN.So why she has not menstruated.The absence of hymen makes her no less virgin, some are born without it …"

"Woman, during the investigation, we found that your daughter has an imperforate hymen, which means that the hymen completely blocks the vagina, so nothing can come down from above, including menstruation and ovulation, hence fluid retention
