Growing up in Detroit, Eminem had an infamously rough childhood.
(His early rap days are depicted in the 2002 drama "8 Mile.")
This photo gives fans a glimpse at a happier Mathers, but haters were able to turn a positive, adorable snapshot into something negative.
Trolls blasted Eminem's childhood appearance, claiming he looked like a "school shooter" in the making.
While it's true that the vast majority of mass shootings in this country are committed by white men, using an innocent childhood photo to "joke" about that fact is disturbing and wrong.
Especially in light of the recent Las Vegas massacre, the "school shooter" comments are uncalled for.
