Even if its “just for one night”, one lie is enough to have someone question all truths.

It always seemed pretty straight forward to me… if you’re committed to the person, stay with them. If you’re not, than break up and do as much exploring as you want.

I guess it’s not as straight forward to other individuals as it is to me, because news about cheating partners pop up every other day. As the act grows common, so does the accompanying question: why do they choose to cheat?

Nigerian Pharmacist, Ahmed Yakasai, has raised an alarm over the circulation of fake Coartem anti-malaria drugs.

According to his tweet, the manufacturers of the anti-malaria drugs is spelt wrongly on the fake drug sachet.

Russia 2018: Neymar, Pique warn Super Eagles over Iceland

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has interviewed his former teammate Neymar on The Players Tribune.

They discussed the favourites for the 2018 World Cup, previous tournaments and the team that can cause an upset in Russia, among other things.

Neymar, who is the world’s most expensive player at €222 million euros, believes the Icelandic National Team will be the dark horses next summer in Russia and the PSG superstar has been backed by Pique.

Pique asked Neymar, “who do you think will be the surprise of the World Cup?”

Neyma’s answer was emphatic, “Yeah, yeah …Iceland.”

Pique agreed with his former Barcelona teammate, when he said, “Iceland, eh? I was going to say the same thing. It’s a very rare case, as the population — it’s a country with a very low population.”

Neymar summarised the discussion with a prophetic certainty, saying,” I watched one of their games and they played well. I liked it. They’ll surprise all. Watch out.”

Nigeria and Iceland will face off at Volgograd Arena, Volgograd on June 22; Argentina and Croatia are the other countries in Group D of the 2018 World Cup.

Davido Declares Wizkid His "New Best Friend" At #30BillionConcert

Nigerian music sensation David Adedeji Adeleke, aka Davido, has declared, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, aka Wizkid his new best friend.

Davido speaking at one of Africa’s biggest concert of the year tagged ’30 Billion Concert’ said to thousands of fans in attendance ‘would you like to meet my new best friend?” to which everyone heartily yelled "yes".

Father Disowns Daughter Over Lesbianism

A father, Iskilu Obawunmi, of number 10 Obawunmi Close, Obantoko in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital had disowned her daughter, Aishat Olabisi Obawunmi over lesbianism.

According to our report, Mr Obawunmi, a business man said his daughter, unknown to him engaged in the act of lesbianism with some of her friends before she traveled out of the country around February this year 2017, but later discovered sometimes last month.

While narrating to our reporter, Mr Obawunmi said “I have disowned my daughter, Aishat Olabisi Obawunmi because she engaged herself in lesbianism which I don’t know until I later discovered when I checked her room. I was shocked and nearly fainted after which I discovered.

“It is shame to me and the family members for having a daughter of such. I never knew she is a lesbian until the time I planned to send her out of the country.

“Aishat Olabisi is my fourth child and the third daughter among my children. She went to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta where she finished her HND programme in Mass Communication Department in 2015. I told her not to bother herself in going for the NYSC programme because of the plans I have for her to further her education.

“Since 2016, we have been processing her travelling so as to further her school in the United States of America before she was later picked around January this year. Though the first school we processed for her didn’t come to pass because I can’t afford the tuition fee, so we go for another community school which is Cleveland State University.”

“I never knew my daughter has turned to something else, and I was living with her under the same roof before she traveled. Lesbianism is against the law and even the Nigerian Constitution, because it doesn’t speak well of a person (Omoluabi)."

When narrating on how he discovered after about nine months of her daughter Aishat Olabisi traveling to the US, Mr. Obawunmi explained that he was looking for a document and decided to check her room, where he later discovered some instruments she used with her friends for the act.

“I nearly fainted. I was looking for a particular document, and I decided to check her room for it. It was a surprise to me to have discovered some of what she used for the act. I decided to investigate further and I was told only lesbians used it. I was so ashamed of myself that I have a daughter who always appeared innocent to me and engaged herself in this evil act.”

While lamenting over the act, Mr. Obawunmi said “I have from now disown her as my daughter because she is a disgrace to me, my family and members of the community. Even the community where I live, Ifesowapo Community under the Chairman, Apostle Soremi also disowns her due to the act.

“I don’t know what would happen if I ever set my eyes on her because for the rest of my life, I don’t want to set my eyes on her. I had gone to report her to the family members and even my wife who is her mother, Mrs. Suliat Obawunmi too knew about this.

“I want to use this medium to warn her to stay away from Nigeria, particularly from the community she left because if I ever set my eyes on her, I can do and undo, so let her stay off my vicinity.”

All effort to reach to Aishat Olabisi Obawunmi as at the time of filing this report proves abortive.

Mavin Producer, Don jazzy has reacted to his performance, alongside Mo’hits crew at Davido’s 30billion concert.

Davido on Wednesday night stunned the crowd as the Mo’Hits crew performed on stage.

The Mo’Hits crew comprising of Don Jazzy; the Entertainer, D’Banj; vocal powerhouse, Wande Coal; as well as Dr Sid, K-Switch, Ikechukwu and D’Prince had gone on a very painful split in 2012 over several internal disagreements.

Clear picture

In 2017, some Americans could buy legal marijuana almost as easily as they could order a pizza. Pot shops outnumber Starbucks stores in states like Colorado and Oregon, and medical marijuana delivery services drop the drug off at people's doors in California and Massachusetts.

With marijuana now more accessible — legally — than ever, more researchers are weighing in on its health effects. But that doesn't mean we fully understand the plant or its impacts.

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine released a massive report in January that gives one of the most comprehensive looks — and certainly the most up-to-date — at exactly what we know about the science of cannabis. The committee behind the report, representing top universities around the country, considered more than 10,000 studies for its analysis and drew nearly 100 conclusions. Many of those findings are summarized below.

1. In the short term, marijuana can make your heart race.

Within a few minutes of inhaling marijuana, your heart rate can increase by between 20 and 50 beats a minute. This can last anywhere from 20 minutes to three hours, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

The report from the National Academies found insufficient evidence to support or refute the idea that cannabis might increase the overall risk of a heart attack. The same report, however, also found some limited evidence that smoking could be a trigger for a heart attack.

2. Marijuana's effects on the heart could be tied to effects on blood pressure, but the link needs more research.

In August, a study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology appeared to suggest that marijuana smokers face a threefold higher risk of dying from high blood pressure than people who have never smoked. But the study came with an important caveat: it defined a "marijuana user" as anyone who'd ever tried the drug.

Research suggests this is a poor assumption — and one that could have interfered with the study's results. According to a recent survey, about 52% of Americans have tried cannabis at some point, yet only 14% used the drug at least once a month.

Other studies have come to the opposite conclusion. According to the Mayo Clinic, using cannabis could result in decreased — not increased — blood pressure.

So while there's probably a link between smoking marijuana and high blood pressure, there's not enough research yet to say that one leads to the other.

3. Marijuana use affects the lungs but doesn't seem to increase the risk of lung cancer.

People who smoke marijuana regularly are more likely to experience chronic bronchitis, according to the report from the National Academies. There's also evidence that stopping smoking relieves these symptoms.

Perhaps surprisingly, the report's authors found moderate evidence that cannabis was not connected to an increased risk of the lung cancers or head and neck cancers associated with smoking cigarettes.

4. Marijuana may help relieve some types of pain.

Marijuana contains cannabidiol, or CBD, a chemical that is not responsible for getting you high but is thought to be responsible for many of marijuana's therapeutic effects. Those benefits can include pain relief or potential treatment for certain kinds of childhood epilepsy.

The report from the National Academies also found conclusive or substantial evidence — the most definitive levels — that cannabis can be an effective treatment for chronic pain, which could have to do with both CBD and THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Pain is "by far the most common" reason people request medical marijuana, according to the report.

5. Marijuana may not be the "gateway drug" that opponents make it out to be.

In September, a study published in the Journal of American Medical Directors Association seemed to suggest that marijuana might actually prevent people from graduating to "hard" drugs. The five-year-long study involved 125 participants, all of whom endured chronic pain.

Researchers found that one-third of participants who used marijuana to treat their chronic pain stopped taking prescribed medications. They suggested that legal access to cannabis might lower the use of dangerous prescription medications in certain patient populations.

Drug overdoses are the leading cause of death for Americans under 50.

6. Marijuana may increase cerebral blood flow and protect the brain from stroke.

In August, a study published in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology suggested that pot smokers could have a greatly reduced risk of stroke. Researchers from the University of Texas at Dallas found chronic cannabis users have higher blood flow to the brain and extract more oxygen from cerebral blood flow than nonusers. THC is known to relax blood vessels.

These changes effectively reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots.

The study should be taken with a grain of salt, however, as it included fewer than 200 participants.

7. Marijuana may be helpful in controlling epileptic seizures.

A drug called Epidiolex, which contains CBD, may be on its way to becoming the first of its kind to win approval from the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of childhood epilepsy. The company that makes it, GW Pharma, is exploring CBD for its potential use in people with Dravet syndrome, a rare, lifelong form of epilepsy that begins in infancy.

In March, the company came out with phase-three trial data that showed the drug Epidiolex had some positive results. The hope is that eventually, someone taking the drug would be able to either reduce the number of seizures they have or even stop them entirely.

8. Marijuana may interfere with how you form memories.

Marijuana can mess with your memory by changing the way your brain processes information, but scientists still aren't sure exactly how this happens. Still, several studies suggest that weed interferes with short-term memory, and researchers tend to see more of these effects in inexperienced or infrequent users than in heavy, frequent users. Unsurprisingly, these effects are most evident in the acute sense — immediately after use, when people are high.

According to the new report from the National Academies, there was limited evidence showing a connection between cannabis use and impaired academic achievement, something that has been shown to be especially true for people who begin smoking regularly during adolescence. (That has also been shown to increase the risk for problematic use.)

Importantly, in most cases, saying cannabis is connected to an increased risk doesn't mean marijuana use caused that risk.

9. In some people, weed could increase the risk of depression.

Scientists can't say for sure whether marijuana causes depression, or depressed people are simply more likely to smoke. But a 2011 study from the Netherlands suggested that smoking marijuana could raise the risk of depression for young people who already have a special serotonin gene that could make them more vulnerable to depression.

The new report from the National Academies bolstered those findings. It found moderate evidence that cannabis use was linked to a small increased risk of depression.

10. Marijuana may also increase the risk of developing Schizophrenia
The new report from the National Academies also found substantial evidence of an increased risk among frequent marijuana users of developing schizophrenia — something that studies have shown is a particular concern for people at risk for schizophrenia in the first place.

11. Marijuana may be a miracle drug in the bedroom.
In October, a study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine showed that people who regularly use marijuana have about 20% more sex than abstainers. Researchers from Stanford University based their analysis on a survey of more than 50,000 Americans ages 25 to 45.

Importantly, saying cannabis is correlated to an "increased coital frequency" doesn't mean marijuana use caused more sexual activity. But the results hint at a casual connection.

12. There's evidence that marijuana use during pregnancy could have negative effects.
According to the report from the National Academies, substantial evidence shows a link between prenatal cannabis exposure — when a pregnant woman uses marijuana — and lower birth weight. There was limited evidence suggesting that using marijuana during pregnancy could cause complications and increase the risk that a baby would have to spend time in a neonatal intensive care unit.

Based on the available evidence and conversations with researchers, there are good reasons to think marijuana has potentially valuable medical uses. At the same time, we know that not all use is risk-free (as with any substance).

More research is needed to figure out how to best treat the conditions that cannabis can help and how to minimize any risks associated with medical or recreational use.

Bacterial Vaginosis

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) iѕ аn infection іn thе vagina caused bу bacteria. Thе vagina naturally haѕ “good” bacteria called lactobacilli аnd а fеw “bad” bacteria called anaerobes. It’s alѕo onе оf thе mоѕt common infections іn women whо аre pregnant, affecting approximately 1 million pregnant women еach year. BV iѕ typically а mild infection аnd іѕ easily treatable wіth medication. Whеn left untreated, however, thе infection cаn increase yоur risk fоr sexually transmitted infections аnd complications durіng pregnancy.

Bacterial Infection Symptoms: Bacterial Vaginosis

Approximately 50 tо 75 percent оf women wіth BV don’t experience аnу symptoms. Whеn symptoms dо occur, yоu mау hаve abnormal аnd foul-smelling vaginal discharge. Thе discharge іs uѕually thin аnd dull gray оr white. In sоmе cases, іt maу аlso bе foamy. Thе fish-like odor that’s oftеn аssoсіatеd wіth thе discharge іs а result оf thе chemicals thаt arе produced bу thе bacteria thаt causе BV. Menstruation аnd sexual intercourse uѕually makе thе odor worse, aѕ blood аnd semen react wіth thе bacteria tо release odorous chemicals. Itching оr irritation arоund thе оutѕіdе оf thе vagina саn alѕо occur іn women wіth BV.

Causes of Bacterial Vaginosis

BV iѕ thе result оf аn overgrowth оf cеrtаіn bacteria іn thе vagina. Lіke іn оthеr parts оf thе body, including thе mouth аnd intestines, thеre аre variоus bacteria thаt live іn thе vagina. Mаnу оf theѕe bacteria асtually protect thе body frоm othеr bacteria thаt сan сausе disease. In thе vagina, lactobacilli arе thе naturally occurring bacteria thаt fight оff infectious bacteria. Thе infectious bacteria аre knоwn aѕ anaerobes.

There’s nоrmallу а natural balance betwеen lactobacilli аnd anaerobes. Lactobacilli typically account fоr thе majority оf bacteria іn thе vagina аnd control thе growth оf anaerobes. However, іf thе lactobacilli arе reduced іn number, anaerobes hаve thе opportunity tо grow. Whеn аn overgrowth оf anaerobes takes place іn thе vagina, BV сan occur.

Doctors don’t knоw thе exact cаuѕе оf thе bacterial imbalance thаt triggers BV. However, cеrtаіn factors саn increase yоur risk оf developing thе infection. Thеѕе include:

havіng unprotected sexual intercourse
hаving multiple sex partners
uѕіng antibiotics
